VBDL WELCOMES NEW ANTWERP SUNSHINE BRANCH LIBRARIAN

DECATUR, MICHIGAN – – – -Van Buren District Library welcomes Kayla Jellies as the new Antwerp Sunshine Branch Librarian, effective April 2.

The former director of the Lawton Public Library succeeds Kay McAdam, who served as the branch librarian in Mattawan since 2001. McAdam was recently named VBDL Adult Education and Community Relations Coordinator and is now based at Webster Memorial Library, Decatur.

Jellies is no stranger to Van Buren District Library. She worked as a library clerk at the Antwerp Sunshine Branch from 2013 to 2015. The Mattawan High School graduate received a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and a master’s in library science from Wayne State University.  She and her family reside in Lawton.

VBDL Antwerp Sunshine Branch is located at 24823 Front Avenue, Mattawan.

Van Buren District Library is headquartered at Webster Memorial Library in Decatur, with branches in Bangor, Bloomingdale, Covert, Gobles, Lawrence and Mattawan.
